Sleep wrinkles

Sleep wrinkles... What are they? A lot of woman assume sleep wrinkles are simply normal wrinkles and are a part of aging. But that is farther from the truth. Did you know that there are 2 main types of wrinkles?

There are the known expressions wrinkles that form after years of moving certain muscles over and over again. For example, let’s say you express yourself with extreme forehead movement when you get excited, mad, etc. By contracting those muscles over and over again, you are overtime developing expression wrinkles in your forehead area. Same with smokers. By pucking their lips over and over, they create what are known as smokers lines.

Now on the other hand, we have something that are called, sleep wrinkles. What is the difference you might ask? Well, just as the name implies, sleep wrinkles are more vertical lines and they occur by us compressing our face against our pillow each night. Think about it! You are getting ready to go to bed. You take a shower or bath, and move onto your skincare routine. You have your favorite cleanser, followed by your toner, to some serums you just had to get your hands on, right? Finally you seal it all in with your amazingly expensive moisturizer that promises the world. You think to yourself, “Now I will definitely wake up glowing!”

But let’s fast forward and take a look at what is actually happening and it isn’t as pretty as we envision. Once we drift off into sleep, we are at the mercy of our nightly habits. A lot of us try to train ourselves to sleep on our back, but that becomes nearly impossible once unconscious. So what happens? Let’s say we now roll over to our left side, and our face that was once topped with glowing moisturizer, has now met it's worst rival. A pillow. Your left side is now smashing in pretty well, towards your eye area. Let’s say you stay in that position for 4 hours. Now your left side is creased and dry from your product rubbing off. Your right side is still silky and smooth. That’s right, until your restless body turns over to the right side. Same problem. You have now rubbed off all your product and have complimentary sleep wrinkles to prove it. What a nightmare! What we hope to wake up looking like is farther from actual reality.

After years of dealing with this exact problem, the founder of the Flawless Face Pillow decided to take matters into her own hands. She googled and found all the anti-wrinkle pillows she could find. She purchased them and tried them out hoping to solve her problem. However, the problem she faced was that she would never fall into their tiny cutout at night. She would move and her face would still end up on the flat portion of the pillow, starting back at square one.

This is when she began to test, test and test. She knew the pillow had to be comfortable. She also understood that it had to move with her as she slept. After over 20 different prototypes, Elena found the perfect solution. After showing it to friends and family, they all wanted their own. Elena knew she had something that could benefit women everywhere. The Flawless Face Pillow is now loved by women everywhere.
